SodaStream (Review)

Fountain Jet - Soda Starter Kit

About
SodaStream is the world's largest manufacturer, distributor and marketer of Home Carbonation Systems. Our brands are sold in over 55,000 retail stores in 43 countries...
The SodaStream system enables consumers to carbonate water and to flavor carbonated beverages at home as an alternative to purchasing pre-packed bottles or cans. This has many important benefits to the consumer including cost savings and no hassle with bottles.
The advantages of SodaStream's Home Carbonation System include:
  • Convenience: No need to carry heavy bottles from the store. The SodaStream system is simple to use and requires no batteries or electricity.
  • Environmentally-Friendly: SodaStream is an "Active Green" solution that minimizes the huge eco-footprint caused by the manufacture, transport and waste of plastic bottles.
  • Variety: SodaStream offers over 100 flavors to suit everyone’s taste. Regular, diet, natural, fruity flavors, ice tea, energy drinks, sport drinks, tonic and many more.
  • Space Saver: No need to store bottles of beverages or empty bottles for recycling in your home.
  • Personalization: Make drinks just the way you love them… more bubbles, less bubbles, sweeter or lighter, even create your own flavor!
  • Family Fun: The system is quick and easy to use. It's fun for everyone and kids just love it!
  • Value for Money: Great savings compared to pre-packed carbonated water and beverages.
  • Satisfaction Guaranteed: SodaStream drinks makers are of extremely high quality and include a money-back satisfaction guarantee.

My Review:
When my SodaStream system arrived, I was so surprised with the weight and size of this product. Prior to having this system when I would go to my local retailers I was always drown in by the display. But always figured once I got the system home we would not have enough space or I pretty much would never use it. I am proud to say that this baby has been in use! This system takes up very little space in my home, which is great because I have very little space available as it is. I am also very pleased with the variety of flavors they have. I love trying to create my own flavors, it is so fun! I also love creating my own little sparklers, you know, a glass of red wine mixed with lemon-lime favored soda with a lime wedge (Thank me later) I am also super excited about finally not having a fridge full with two to four different bottles of soda taking up space when I have family gatherings (it seems like no one likes the same flavor). SodaStream solved that problem, we now have different varieties of fresh soda on hand all the time. No rushing to the store last minute and carrying heavy bottles to the car.
I also love how super sleek and an easy to use SodaStream is.  This is such a great product! I really look forward to making a root beer float with the kiddos and creating my own signature drinks J
Buy It:
You can purchase SodaStream and their many other favors online or at your local retailers.

Pineapple and Coconut Circo Slush

On a whim over the weekend I made this little treat. I actually was going to make popsicles and let’s just say the Popsicle moldes  were too cheap and broke. I had some of the mixture left over and decided to make a slushy. I love pineapple with a hint of coconut Circo. So this made me a happy camper. This is a perfect drink to have on a whim or to even make for a girls night or a get together with family/friends. I plan on making this again. I love having actual pineapple in my drinks which was a plus for me. This would also be the perfect drink to garnish with fresh pineapple too.

Ingredients

  • 1 can pineapple chunks
  • ½ cup of Coconut Circo (more if desired)
  • 12 cubes ice
Directions

  1. In a blender combine pineapple chunks, Circo and ice cubes. Blend until smooth. Freeze for 10-15 minutes in a freezer safe container (longer if needed). Once out of the freezer do a quick stir with a wooden spoon (just to make sure that everything is combined) Pour into glasses and serve.

Happy Friday- Mom's the Word

Happy Friday Everyone!

I wanted to take a moment to share with you a new campaign from Johnson&Johnson that supports Save the Children. I had the pleasure of meeting them during Blogher’12 in the Johnson&Johnson suite. I learned about all of the awesome work they do. Please see below additional information about the campaign. I hope you will take a moment to check them.
(Save the Children, an organization working to improve the future for children, women, and families across the globe.)
Mom’s the Word is a Facebook community where moms can find funny, uplifting, videos, stories, and pictures that celebrate the small (and sometimes big) victories moms have every day. These “MomWins,” include everything from getting dinner on the table in under 30 minutes, remembering to sign all of your kids’ permission slips, or receiving the cute family portrait your child made at school.
The thing that makes this online mom community different is that Mom’s the Word has a purpose. Every Monday, each action that’s taken on the page – that includes Likes, Shares, Comments, or Posts – Johnson’s Baby will give a $1 donation to Save the Children. This community is about more than just reliving those fun mom moments; it's about providing critical support for moms around the globe to ensure that they have what they need to nurture healthy, educated children who are ready to succeed.

My Blogher'12 My... Thoughts...

Blogher’12 it was truly an experience! I had an amazing time at all of the parties I attend, The Relax, it’s … Lees Spill Spa Experience!, Iconix and Lipstick and High Heels just to name a few.

I had an amazing time meeting so many wonderful people and great brands! (Everyone was so so so nice to me) Thank You!

Likes!
  • I also truly enjoyed seeing two of my favorite people President Obama and Martha Stewart.
  • I wanted to take a moment to share with you guys my likes and dislikes (disclaimer: this is my opinion yours may be different from mines)
  • I had an amazing time meeting so wonderful people and great brands! (Everyone was so so so nice to me) Thank You!
  • I also truly enjoyed seeing two of my favorite people President Obama (Steaming live) and Martha Stewart.
  • I loved the off site parties; they were really the highlight of my entire trip. The parties were so much fun. I was able to connect with brands and also meet new bloggers in an intimate setting.
  • I loved how the conference was in New York, love the location! I live only 2-3 hours away from Manhattan, so I was truly grateful to have the option to drive verses the expenses of other traveling methods. Plus, the shopping, YES Please!
  • SWAG!!!!! Yes, it was SWAG galore (The brands were amazingly sweet and helpful) I also love how they had a swag exchange so blogger were able to exchange or leave unwanted SWAG.

Dislikes

The Hotel:

The evaluators were ridiculous, it took so long to get everywhere, my room was tiny (which could be expected for NY) the food was fine; it was nothing to brag home about.

The Expo Halls:

Some of the expo halls felt really tight once it was packed with people (there were a few brands that were having their own conversations, and I guess were there to keep each other company and not interact with the bloggers). I really wanted to have a moment to interact with the representatives from the brands, and connect with them, which I was able to do. The brands that I did speak with were so sweet, and I am Thankful that I had a moment to connect with them.

This was my first conference so I really did not have anything to compare it to. I expected for the conference to full of people, due to it being located in NY. I look forward to attending future blogger conferences and meeting all of my blogger friends in person.
