Staying Refreshed with Taste Nirvana Real Coconut Water (Review)

About Taste Nirvana
Taste Nirvana Coconut Waters come from the famous coconut plantations of Thailand - most other coconut waters come from Brazil where they tend to have somewhat of a tart aftertaste. Jack devoted time to researching different soil and growing conditions & has found the best Thailand has to offer. When cutting against other coconut waters, we will ALWAYS be naturally sweeter with more fragrant coconut nose. We know you can taste our delicious difference!
"Happiness in a Bottle" – Our cap says it all!

My family loves coconut water and it has actually become my husbands and I beverage of choice after a nice long workout (it has a great source of potassium). When, Taste Nirvana graciously provided me the opportunity to try their coconut water. I was super excited. I know that not all coconut water taste the same, so I was eager to see how Taste Nirvana Real Coconut Water would taste. I was first super impressed that the coconut water comes in a  reclosable glass bottle; this allows the coconut water to get super cold which is really refreshing on these hot summer days. I also love how versatile these waters are, you can add them to your favorite drink to add a nice hint of coconut flavor, and my favorite is adding coconut water  to my smoothies. Which makes them taste amazing!

I love how I was not able to taste the aloe in the Real Coco Aloe water. However, after trying all three. I actually have a favorite! I really really like the Real Coconut Water/Pulp. It is something about having that nice surprise while enjoying this delicious beverage. I noticed  that none of Nirvana Real Coconut Water had a bitter after taste, which was a huge plus. Overall, I am super impressed with all three of the Real Coconut Waters and I look forward to purchasing them in the near future at my local Whole Foods.

Now What about you, Do you like coconut water?

Homemade Garnola

For the longest, I have been telling myself that I was going to make homemade granola. I love the way it taste, and I also love how versatile it is, you can have it with milk, yogurt or as something to snack on throughout the day...For some reason, I kept on running out of the ingredients, first it was honey and then it was the oats. Out of the blue, looked up a recipe and made it. If I had nuts on hand, I would have added them; however, I was not running back to the store. I found this recipe to be super yummy, and would also be wonderful for a family that is on the go. You can divide portions in the snack size bags and put them in the freezer, and it is ready for you the next day or when you need them.

Recipe Adapted from via

Ingredients:

 ½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. ground cinnamon
¼ c. vegetable oil
¼ c. honey
1 tsp. vanilla
1 ½ c. dried cranberries

1/2 c. dried raisins
4 c. old fashioned, rolled oats
 ½ c. packed brown sugar

1 c. coconut flakes (optional)
1 tbsp Ground Flaxseed (optional)

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
In a large bowl, mix together the oats, brown sugar, salt and cinnamon.
In a saucepan, warm the oil and honey. Stir in vanilla. Pour the liquid over oat mixture.
Stir gently with a wooden spoon. Finish mixing by hand.
Spread granola on a foil-lined baking tray (15x10x1 in.).
Bake for 40 minutes, stirring after 20 minutes, and they every 10 minutes.
Transfer pan to wire rack, stir in raisins/cranberries, coconut flakes, Flaxseed and allow to cool completely.
Seal in an airtight container or plastic bags. Store at room temperature (or freeze for up to 3 months).

How Do I Find Balance?

….Well being a mother, wife, employee, blogger, sister, aunt and friend (among my many other titles.) Finding balance is not something that I have learned over night, and It is something that I still something that I am learning to improving on. To me, it is very important to know your limits. I know for me I cannot always be super wife or super mom. I try to plan accordingly, and not take on additional responsibilities that I cannot give my all to if it is going to affect my family life. For instance, last year was my tweens first year of playing football and as much as I would have loved to be a “Team Mom” I really did not want to take on the extra responsibility. Yes, I was at pretty much at every practice and game. However, I  just wanted to go to my tweens practice and games and just relax! Most of the time, while my son was at practice, I was able to use the time by  going for a long walk or checking in on my family or friends, if I was a team mom, I would not have the ability to do that when I wanted to. I know I love helping out. However, I know for me that I cannot not over extend myself or (why should I have too?) (Okay, not all the time).
I try to plan in advance, and create a menu plan, and just overall am a little more organized. I take time out for me on a regularly basis. Even if it is just lying down on my bed and going on Pinterest or even taking a nice relaxing bath. Part of  me  having balance, is the ability to take time out for myself. In order to have balance you should have the ability to give all of the important things in your life equal attention (or the appropriate amount of attention)
Key Points:
  • Stay organized
  • Send messages to your family through-out the day to let them know that you are thinking about them. (i.e. put it in thier lunch box or send them a text message)
  • Create date nights for you and your suppose
  • Have date nights for you and your children
  •       (Try) To multi-task
  • Make time for yourself
  • So not take on additional responsibilities if you can not handle it.
And remember, you are only one person.

Memories... PeggyBank (Review & Giveaway)

(my little guy)

Growing up, I would always ask my parents “where are my baby pictures?” I mean, they had one of my sister when she was under one years old, and one of my little brother when he was just born and none of me. My parents would always politely reply “we have NONE”. This was so hard for me to comprehend, it is still hard. Every day, I hope for a phone call from my parents telling me they have found a baby picture of me. (Yes, I am so serious) Fast forward to me being a mom, I knew when my son was born that I would take lots of pictures of him. If not to bring him joy, then to put a smile on hopefully one day my grandkids and great grandkids faces. To me pictures tell stories. Like they say… “Pictures tell a thousand words”

(my little guy)
So when I was graciously provided with the opportunity to send my pictures to PeggyBank, I was super nervous. I had so many thoughts running through my mind. However, PeggyBank was super friendly and walked me through the entire process. They handled my prized possessions with care, and even emailed me when my order was ready to view online, and also gave me the information to track my items on their way back home. I love how now I can share my adorable pictures with family and friends. No matter where I'm at. Imagine if you were at a family reunion and you were able to upload all of your pictures old and new from your phone or computer? How awesome would it be to have access to you pictures no matter where you’re at? PeggyBank is so awesome! I am super satisfied with PeggyBank. Protecting and storing years of priceless memories is just simply not one of those things you can put a price tag on.
Peggy Bank is offering 15%  off
