Turning Drab to Fab with Fashion Art Projects (Review)

I was graciously provided with the opportunity to review some of the awesome products from Fashion Art Projects.  I am a huge fan of iron-ons and I love seeing how creative I can be with my projects. When my package first arrived, I was completely clueless on what my vision was going to be. I knew, I wanted to play around with a couple of ideas...
I decided first to make a cute pair of undies, when I first got married. I always told myself that I would make a pair with our  wedding date and the Mr's inititals, that never happen, so why not do it now? Of course I did and they came out super cute. (sorry no pic's)
I then decided I decided to make my daughter somthing. Since it is the end of the year. I thought it would be a cute idea to have her besties sign the bag or just something to wear as a everyday purse.

Finally, I thought it would be a fun idea to play around with an everyday black tee. I love the pop of color that this applique brings. It is so nice to just be able to have something on that is different and me. With a touch of details. A plain ole shirt goes a long way.

Fashion Art Projects has a large variety of items to personize your attire. For additional information about Fashion Art Projects, please check them out on their website at Fashion Art Projects.com , and also check them out on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and YouTube. Dont forget to check their items out at your local Walmart!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Cook'n Recipe Organizer (Review and Giveaway)

Cook'n Recipe Software

If you have a moment, Please watch the video prior to reading the post!

Awesome video, Right????

I was graciously provided with the opportunity to review Cook'n recipe organizer. I cannot stress enough how I love trying new recipes that I get from, online, in magazines, and also in cooks. Well, up until now. I did not have any type of organization process. I would hold on to the recipe, and place it in a binder or folder. If you could imagine, this process is not suffice. Just imagine trying to look through hundreds of paper in a binder trying to remember the name of the recipe or what the picture looked like or even trying to remember if the recipe is in a bind or folder. Yes, I know it sounds like a lot nd total chaos, and trust me it was. I love how Cook'n Recipe organizaer gives me  he ability to enter my own recipes in Cook’n. This software also has the ability to capture recipes from the web too. That’s not all; this recipe organizer also includes tons of recipes???? Yes, TONS of recipes. Did I mention that you can search for recipes based on the ingredients in which you have! Yes, I know J I am super excited to have this recipe software, it just makes organizing recipes so much easier. Below are are a couple of features in  which I adore.
  1. Menu Planning (which is huge right now for me)
  2. Change the recipe portion size (and Cook'n does the math for you)
  3. Create your own cookbooks
  4. Conduct a search based on the ingridentis you have
  5. Use the Cook'n recipe

PottyCover (Review & Giveaway)

About
Potty Cover

PottyCover is a disposable toilet seat cover for children that cover the sides and the front of the toilet, to keep away germs at public rest-rooms. Potty Cover is made of non-woven fabric coated with a layer of plastic, creating a waterproof barrier between the toilet and the child. That means no GERMS! This product has the largest coverage of all seat covers on the market and for added convenience, each seat cover is individually packaged in a small, easy to open bag that makes it super easy to always keep one or two in a purse or a back pocket.

Being a mom, one of the daunting task, I have is brining my children in public restrooms. Yes, I'm one of those moms that has a prior talk with her children about not touching anything in the restrooms prior to entering. PottyCover graciously provided me with the opportunity to review their PottyCovers, and I must say that they are a must have with children. I was even move happy to find this product especially for my smaller nieces and nephews, yes, four in total that are under the age of four. If you could only imagine, going to the store with them is a task in itself. The seat covers at most public restrooms do not get the job done. They are not water proof and many times just end up ripping or just do not have enough coverage and most of the time they are sliding around. My main priority is making sure my family is safe. I am happy that I have finally found a product that I can carry in my purse at all times. I am looking forward to sharing this wonderful product with all of my friends and family. I'm sure they will love it too.

You can purchase a pack of 6 Potty Covers for around $5.99 and it is available on Ebay,Amazon and all Buy Buy Babystores around the country and at select Bed Bath& Beyond stores.

For additional information about PottyCover visit them online at PottyCover. You can also check them out on Facebook and Twitter.

Free (or low cost) Summer ideas for the Kids

Happy Friday Everyone!

Okay, so I have less than a month until my son is out of school for the summer. This year, I am trying to be proactive and create a list of things we could do. That is FREE or really cheap.
Museum
we have a couple of museums that are in pretty good driving distance. Some are free and some you have to pay for. Call your local museum to see if they have any days that children get in free.

Feed the Ducks or Geese
as a child, I really enjoyed going to feed the ducks. I know of the perfect location to bring my son to. With all the technology we have, you could just do a Google search or ask friends, and remember to hold on to some old bread.

Lake/Pool/River
My son loves going to our local pool. Unfortunately, we have to pay a small fee to get into our pool. However, most pools, rivers and lakes are free. Don’t forget your towels and sun screen

Picnic
What about an awesome picnic? You could even have it in your own yard! Load up a basket and a blank and have funJ. Don’t forget the bug spray

Playground
my son loves going to the playground and it is a huge bonus for him and it is also the perfect time for me to get my camera out.  Win, win right? Look around your neighborhood to look for a playground that would be a good fit for your children.

Make Popsicles
Treat the kids to a yummy snack. We have the cheapie Popsicle mold. Why not put it to use? The one thing that I love about this idea is that you can create your own flavors.

Golfing
we have a golf course not too far from our home. I will also be looking for free kid friendly golf courses. You could also create your own golf course in your own backyard

Dance Party
we have an Xbox and a Wii that we will be putting to you use with our dance party. You also could just turn on the radio or TV with kid friendly music.

Paint Rocks
this is such a cool idea. I would love to locate a good size rock, paint it and add it to our soon to be garden. You could paint rocks that you already have or even gather up some rocks.

Bike Ride
I am so looking forward to this, my bike is in our garage just waiting for me.  We have several different bike routes near our home. If you do not have a bike and you have smaller children. Maybe you could walk along side your smaller child who is riding the bike.

Decorating Cupcakes
we usually always have the items needed to bake homemade cupcakes. My son would love the opportunity to decorate his own. How cool would that be? This idea is super easy if you would prefer to use the box cake and frosting too. Just purchase the items needed in advance.

Zoo
Many Zoos have free days. This may take a little research. Take advantage of those free days and just eat prior to going on this trip and remember to bring bottle water with you.

Visit your local Library
our local library is just walking distance from our home. The usually have tons of free stuff going on in the summer for all ages.  You could call, stop by or look on your local library website to see what they may have going on this summer.

Bake Cookies
Baking cookies is a major plus in our home and it is so fun too. I would suggest doing this on a day that it is not too hot outside unless you have central air. Your child would love to help you mixing and measuring the items.  You could also purchase the log or the cookie dough, roll the dough out and use a cookie cutter to create shapes.

Movies & Popcorn on a rainy day
we have Netflix and also take advantage of the movies at our local library. This is such a fun idea, especially with popcorn on the side.

Make S’mores
S’mores are a huge hit doing the summer time, and most children love s’mores too. Make sure to purchase the items in advance and leave them in a cool area. Also, try not to eat them tooJ.

Fly Kites
You can make your own or purchase one from the dollar store. This would make wonderful memories and pictures too.

Board Games
we have tons of board games in our home, you could even make your own too. Kids love playing board games.

Garden
I think it would be such a fun idea to allow my son to plant is own garden or have a certain location in our garden that is designated to him, that he would have to maintain.

Do you have any summer time plans?????
PS: My Linky Party is still going on if you would like to stop by J

Playful Planet- Storyland Yoga for Kids (Review & Giveaway

Winner of Parent’s Choice Approved, Mom’s Choice Gold,Dr. Toy’s Best Green Product and Creative Child Magazine “Preferred Choice”in the Environmentally Friendly Category.
This yoga for kids DVD is geared for teaching children, aged 3-8, basic yoga. The video is hosted by "Ahmed Fahmy" and involves a group of children.
Storyland Yoga is a fun-filled adventure that infuses children with an eco-conscious message. Two unique stories, “Save the Whale” and “Condor Trek” engage a child’s imagination through storytelling. Kid’s learn yoga postures by becoming part of the story and imitating animals. Yoga is great exercise and helps to calm children giving them greater focus and increased clarity. Storyland Yoga is equally fun for parents and family members who can benefit from yoga, while enjoying ‘organic time’ with their children.
My boys and I really enjoyed this yoga for kids DVD. I love doing Yoga on Saturday mornings, and my tween always ask. "Mommy what are you doing". So, when I had the opportunity to review this product. I could not wait for them to enjoy the experience of yoga too. It was nice to see oldest helping out his younger brother and participainting too. They were so focusesed on the story and the yoga moves. I cannot wait for the next sleepover at my house with my nieces and nephews. Storyland Yoga is the perfect way to start your day or conclude the night. I would recommend this DVD to anyone with children ages 3-8. The great part about this yoga for kids DVD, is that you can always have the older children come and help out too.
BUY IT!
You can purchase your own Storyland Yoga DVD HERE or at Amazon.com. The DVD sells for $14.99 plus shipping.
WIN IT!

Happy Friday- Weekend Plans!?!?

(This is a picture of the rose garden in my state the Mr. and I went for date night last weekend. Unfortantely, the roses were not in full bloom. This is an idea of how they look when they are .)

Happy Friday!
My family and I are really looking forward to this weekend. With the Playoffs games this weekend, I’m sure they will keep us entertained. Plus I would love to get some projects done around the house. The weather last weekend was absolutely amazing J I am hoping for the same this weekend. I am also thinking about creating an office nook for myself. Yes, only for me! I have no idea, how it’s going to look or the location (I have two places in mind). However, I will keep you guys informed. I also would really like to start our garden. I attempted to make my own (inside) starter plants and nothing has appeared so I’m going to do a little research to see what I’m doing wrong… Well, enough about me...
Do you have any weekend plans?????
PS: My Linky Party is still going on if you would like to stop by J
